Flawless Skin

1. Stay hydrated
The first and most important is to keep hydrated, because skin loses its elasticity and cracks when you are dehydrated. On the other hand well hydrated skin glows and looks so very nice to behold. Drinking 8 glasses of water a day is an easy step to keep your skin healthy, and you can carry a water bottle with you everywhere you go to keep fluids in your system. This is important year round but even more so during the harsher seasons such as winter. Summer can be difficult as well, because you sweat out most of your moisture.

2. Kill those blackheads
Keeping your skin clean and free of blackheads and whiteheads is another step in maintaining the beauty of your surface. There are plenty of products out on the market for this, but a gentle soap and water can be effective if you can’t afford these. I use hot water and a gentle soap myself when I shower, but I also have a few foaming washes that clear all the dirty and grime off of my face and body.

3. See what suits your skin type
Be sure that you don’t have an allergy to anything in a product such as these, and that is gentle for whatever your specific skin type is, whether it is oily, normal, dry, or combination. Using the right products are key to keeping your skin clean, soft, and smooth, and looking fresh daily, but it doesn’t need to be expensive.

4. It is OK to splurge occasionally
A really good step to make your skin stand out against others in addition to these is to occasionally pamper it and give it facial treatments. These can be expensive if you seek out professional services, but many home products or standard household foods and items can replace an expensive spa treatment.

5. Mask, Peel and Moisturize
Once a month, or twice a month if you have the time, treat your skin to a nice mask, whether it’s a commercially purchased mask or something you brewed up for your skin type? Apply it smoothly and evenly, and wait half an hour before rinsing it off. Mixtures to create at home can be found online, and vary for each skin type. Moisturize afterwards with a bit of milk and let it soak in before rinsing it off to add that special glow that sticks around!
